So his priest had a sweet tooth, did he? Liam couldn't help a faint smile to himself. It was cute, endearing really. Should he be thinking that about a priest? Nope. But he also shouldn't be thinking about what it would feel like to spend a night wrapped up in Riley's arms.

Oh well.

By the time Riley emerged from the bathroom, Liam had the hot chocolate ready, two mugs steaming away on the coffee table by the sofa, with a small bowl of mini marshmallows next to them -- a scoop of which he'd already dropped into his own. He was settled on the sofa, looking up at Riley greeted Maurice. The cat chirped a sound that seemed like an actual answer to that question as he lifted into that touch to see if he could coax more petting out of the priest.

Liam found himself jealous, and wondered if that move would also work for him. He may have been trying for normalcy a little too hard right now, trying to prove (to himself as much as to Riley) that he was fine. This was fine. He wasn't on the brink of shattering apart.
